Sudan national soccer team became the fourth team in Eastern Africa to qualify for the quarter finals of Chan after a barren draw with Senegal in the final game of group D.
In another game Nigeria beat Congo 2-0 through goals from Anas Yusuf (penalty) in the 56th minute and another from Sikiru Arimi in additional time.
Despite the win Nigeria remained third in the group with only three points meaning Sudan and Senegal advance to Quarters.
Sudan are top of group D and will now face Algeria, who were second in Group C.
Uganda Cranes who topped group C will face Senegal in the quarters.
Sudan who are coached by Ghanian coach James Kwesi Appiah stunned Nigeria in the opening group after they hammered them 4-0 in the opening match.
