Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has assured residents of Marsabit and the wider Northern Kenya region that the government is devoted to deliver equal developments and end historical marginalization in the region.

Speaking today during an empowerment program Kindiki emphasized that Kenya Kwanza administration is commitment to have inclusive development, promising that no Kenyan will be left behind on basis of ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation.

“We want to treat all Kenyans equally I want to assure you that we are going to continue with the programme of speeding up the acquisition of National Identity Cards (ID ).

He noted that in the last two weeks they were able to register nearly 15,000 new people with IDs in this area.

The Deputy President highlighted the government’s efforts to eliminate historical injustices by ensuring every part of the country benefits from national programmes and services.

He urged residents of Marsabit to take full advantage of the ongoing ID registration drive and to encourage others to do the same, stating that access to government services and opportunities begins with proper documentation.

In a major boost to the region’s pastoral economy, Kindiki announced that President William Ruto has authorized the National Drought Management Authority (NDMA) and the State Department of Livestock to help local farmers restock cattle, especially those affected by recent droughts.

“The President is fully aware of the challenges this region is facing due to drought .We want to support our farmers to get back on their feet and kick-start farming again.”he noted.

Kindiki further emphasized the importance of unity in fostering development, urging both elected and non-elected leaders in Marsabit to work together for the good of the people.

The Deputy President also thanked the people of Marsabit for maintaining peace and stability in the region, noting that such an environment is key for economic growth and social development.

“I thank God that Marsabit is now peaceful, and we pray it stays that way so you can grow your county and live like the rest of Kenyans,” he said.

He urged the residents to support the Kenya Kwanza administration, saying the government has already made significant progress in a short period.

“In just a short time, we have achieved a lot in terms of infrastructure, agriculture, education, health among others so we ask you to support the government for a second term so we can continue delivering on our promises.”kindiki said.

Taking a swipe at the opposition, Kindiki said they have no clear agenda for the country and called on the people of Marsabit to ignore divisive politics.
