Samburu Technical Training Institute (TTI) is set to represent the Mount Kenya East region in the national TVET Trade Fair competition to be held in Wajir County next week.
This is after the institution emerged victorious in the Applied Science innovation category during the Mount Kenya East region competition held at Meru National polytechnic in Meru County recently.
Mount Kenya East region chairperson and Samburu TVC Principal Ms Lucy Mutembei said the best innovations from across the country will be exhibited during the Madaraka Education week in Wajir County
“Teams with exhibitions are already in Wajir County for the exhibition week, in readiness for Madaraka Day celebrations next week. Each region will have one winning team from each KATTI region countrywide,” said Ms Mutembei.
She added,
“Zero waste utilisation of cactus plant for good health and environment products is the innovation title.”
KATTI is composed of approximately eleven regions countrywide including Coast, Lake, Mount Kenya East, Mount Kenya West, North Rift, Nairobi, South Rift, Western and Northern.
