Governor Mutuma M’Ethingia has called on Meru leaders and residents to embrace unity in a bid to attain sustainable development in the County
Governor M’Ethingia emphasized the importance of unity and teamwork in achieving sustainable development across the county.
He noted that the greatest strength as a County is collaboration and teamwork while lobbying for the implementation of transformative projects meant to improve livelihoods.
“The greatest strength we have as a county is collaboration. When leaders and the community work together, we can continue to lobby for and implement transformative projects that improve lives,” said Governor M’Ethingia.
The governor was speaking during a major fundraising event in support of classroom construction at St. Paul’s Primary School, Njogune, Abogeta West Ward, Imenti South Sub-county which brought together top leaders from Meru County over the weekend.
The event was also graced by Former Governor Kiraitu Murungi, Meru Senator Kathuri Murungi, and South Imenti MP Shadrack Mwiti, among other local leaders and community members.

Governor Mutuma M’Ethingia, who was the chief guest, officially commissioned the newly constructed Grade 9 classroom.
Senator Kathuri Murungi commended the current county leadership for maintaining peace and stability in Meru.
“I want to thank Governor Mutuma for the peace and cooperation we are witnessing across Meru. It is this harmony that allows development to thrive,” Senator Kathuri remarked.
Former Governor Kiraitu Murungi urged residents of South Imenti to continue supporting their area MP Shadrack Mwiti, for his commitment to delivering tangible projects that benefit the community.
“Hon. Mwiti has demonstrated visible development in this region. Let us continue supporting him so that he can do even more for our people,” said Kiraitu.
The fundraiser concluded on a high note, with leaders pledging continued partnership to enhance educational infrastructure and uplift learning standards across Meru County.
