Senator Kathuri to Igembe Central Residents: President Ruto Will Build Koore road

Meru Senator Kathuri Murungi has reassured Igembe Central residents of Kenya Kwanza government’s commitment to tarmac Koore road before the 2027 elections.

Kathuri acknowledged the challenges facing residents who use the road, saying it’s now a priority of development projects of the government.

“We don’t need politics at this time. The most challenge we have here is transport due to the impassable Kore road. This must be the first priority of the development agenda to open up this area” said Kathuri.

He further promised to join hands with Igembe Central MP Dan Kiili to follow up on fast tracking its completion.

“I have engaged with MP Kiili in following up this matter. I assure you President William Ruto and his Deputy Kithure Kindiki will not end their first term in 2027 without completion of this road as promised” he assured the Igembe residents.

The senator who is the Kamashinani Foundation patron spoke at Nthambiro and Matiandui in Igembe East ward, during the Kamashinani football tournament.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd of fans and players, he further applauded the support towards his talents nurturing activity accross the County.

He also announced that plans are underway to introduce ladies football tournament in the region.

“We are aware of many challenges facing our girls. We will soon introduce a ladies football tournament to ensure as we help our boys and young men to fight drugs and idleness, we also reach out to the girls child” announced the senator.

He added, “Through this ladies tournament, we will not only be nurturing talents, but we will also be empowering our girls, helping them overcome challenges like teen pregnancies, early marriages and other social issues affecting them”.
