Meru senator Kathuri Murungi has declared his bid to vie for Meru governor in the next years polls.
Murungi who announced that he will go for the county boss after he met several UDA delegates at his office in Meru.
The senator who had earlier this year announced his bid stepped down and said he will support Meru governor Mutuma M’ethingia.
On Friday Murungi said was no any agreement with any politician that he will support them.
“there is a lot of misinformation there was an agreement between me and someone that is not true and in politics you must for your own ambitions and votes you don’t come to politics for your hands to be held by someone else,” Murungi said.
“People cannot come to politics seeking endorsement or for their hands to be held am not ready to hold anyone’s hands may be my wife in a slippery area. If you came to politics stop being a crybaby go to the people and seek your own votes,” Murungi said.

He said he will governor Mutuma time to work for the remaining one year.
“Just because I have declared my bid for governor does not mean we will start squabbles with Mutuma I can see that people from his camp want us to fight but let me tell them I have no time for them,” Mutuma said.
He said instead those camp should not direct their energies to fight him but rather on how they will advice the current governor to deliver ti the people of Meru in the remaining period.
Murungi said if elected Meru governor he will tame banditry, sink boreholes, makes roads under county government passable, creates jobs for the youth and make sure farmers get profits for their produces
He said he has a lot of experience as he has been South Imenti MP for 10 years and now he is Meru senator and Deputy Speaker.
Meanwhile Murega Baichu spouse to former Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza has also declared his bid to vie for governor.
Mwangaza who was impeached has been blaming Murungi for his woes and his spouse Murega said he will vie for whichever seat Murungi vies in order to avenge what the senator did to Mwangaza.
Baichu made the announcement shortly after Kathuri Murungi made his declaration.
In a press shortly after Murungi’s Baichu asked the people of Meru to elect UMP party candidates instead of electing ‘cartels’ that hounded Mwangaza out of office simply because she refused to allow corruption in his administration.
Baichu said all MPS in Meru and the current Meru governor Mutuma M’ethingia together with senator Kathuri Murungi will be sent home by the people of Meru in the next year polls.
