Former agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi has come out to hit out at Kenya Kwanza government for promising to give out Sh.600 million to Harambee stars if they win Chan.
He said education is a priority than sports.
“We wonder which is of more importance is it paying for free education for our children or is it giving Harambee Stars Sh.600 million so we must get our priorities right,” he said.
He said the legislators should ensure sufficient resources are allocated to the education sector.
“The economy is not doing well and parents are suffering so members of parliament should do more than saying what they are doing as they have become psychophants,” Linturi said.
Linturi who is also Democracy for Citizens Party Organizing Secretary condemned the recent abductions alleging the government is behind it.
“We need to remind President William Ruto that when he took oath of office there is nowhere where he was allowed to kill or abduct people,” Linturi said.
He said those who break the law should be arrested and arraigned in a court of law.
“We will not allow arbitrary orders to intimidate or suppress people,” Linturi said.
He spoke on Monday at Gitoro North Imenti constituency Meru County.

The former Meru senator said Kenyans should be patient and wait to change it is just two years down to send the current regime home in the polls.
Linturi said DCP will field candidate in all seats in Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties.
Linturi said they will team up with other opposition parties to field one presidential candidate strong to send President William Ruto.
“The Kenya Kwanza are saying we do not have an agenda but our first agenda is to sent William Ruto home the rest will follow because when he is there nothing is working from health education and even our people are facing economic hardships with his cost of living,” Linturi said.
Linturi said was accompanied by senatorial candidate aspirants Mugambi Imanyara,Timothy Murithi,North Imenti MP aspirant Mugambi Imanyara among others.
