North Imenti parliamentary aspirant Carol Karimi Muriuki has launched a fierce attack on area MP Rahim Dawood, accusing him of misleading residents with empty promises while allegedly failing to deliver tangible development.
Speaking at a local event, Karimi dismissed Dawood’s leadership as ineffective, alleging that he has resorted to “brainwashing” the electorate rather than addressing urgent issues affecting the constituency including roads infrastructure, electricity connectivity, and the school’s upgrading among others.
“The Lord has given us eyes to see, ears to hear, and the spirit to discern all the lies told. As for North Imenti, we are now wiser,” Karimi declared adding: “God made you give confessions in broad daylight. No more blindness, deafness, or confusion will come our way. We declare victory in Jesus’ name.”
Karimi, who has publicly expressed confidence in unseating Dawood in the 2027 general elections, criticized his development track record, specifically citing public health concerns in the area.
“As you run up and down, Hon. Rahim Dawood, North Imenti residents are at risk. Contaminated water is exposing people to waterborne diseases, and the rise of H. Pylori infections is alarming. Cancer cases are also on the rise,” she warned.
She further claimed that the situation may soon require international intervention.
“We’ll take this to the global platform to call on the government to act. North Imenti is suffering — God, hear us.”
Dawood has yet to respond publicly to the accusations.
