The Gambia national soccer team deemed Kenya’s Harambee Stars hope of playing in world cup after they thrashed Kenya 3-1 in Nyayo National Stadium.
Three first half goals were enough to finish off Harambee Stars dreams of qualifying.
The scorpions got the opener in the 12th minute after Brighton midfielder Yakub Minteh curled a left corner to find Gambia defender Sinyan who comfortably headed home without much resistance from the stars.
Minteh then created a good run to find Adam Barow for a quick one two and finally Minted buried the ball in the stars net in the 26th minute.

The scorpions then stang Harambee Stars again after Sidibe curled a ball to M. Barrow who buried the ball with a thunderous strike just inside the 18 yard box.
Kenya coach Benni Mac Cathy made a change in the 70th minute to bring on Chan top scorer Rooney Ogam who managed to pull one back for the stars to wipe down their tears.

Kenya failed to crate much chances although in the second half they became more dangerous in attacks than Gambia.
Gambia opted to stay on the backline and defend as they had already had enough goals to seal out the win.
Gambia coach Johnathan Mckinstry is a known figure in Kenya having coached Gor mahia and won three titles with Kogalo.
With the defeat, Kenya now inevitably stands no chance of qualifying regardless of the outcome of the pending games.

Benni should have stuck to Chan squad those overseas players arent good enough my opinion
