Over 350 farmers and agripreneurs in Meru County have benefited from artificial intelligence training in technology and financial literacy in a bid to increase production of their farm produce.
The training was aimed at modernising traditional farming and mainly targeted small scale farmers who are the majority in the region.
The event was hosted courtesy of the Safire Connect Forum, a key event under the M-PESA @ 18 celebrations aimed at boosting agribusiness through technology and financial literacy.
Hosted by Safaricom as part of the M-PESA Sokoni Mt Kenya Edition, the forum provided hands-on training in artificial intelligence, mobile finance, and digital tools to help modernize traditional farming.
The initiative is geared towards equipping smallholder farmers with the resources to build profitable, tech-savvy agricultural enterprises.
