Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has told President William Ruto not to blame him for his woes in the mount Kenya region.
Speaking at St Mary AIPCA Rwarera church in Buuri, Gachagua said that President Ruto has lost touch on the ground.
“A tried to advice President Ruto on how to manage and sustain his supporters here. But he gave a deaf ear every time I sat him down. Now he shouldn’t blame me for anything” he said.
The DCP party leader also accused the KK government over unfulfilled promises, saying that it has also betrayed mount Kenya region.
“You have lied and betrayed our people. If you have plans for re-election, remove the mountain from your voting blocks. It is gone and gone forever. You will only serve one term” said Gachagua.
On his part, the DCP deputy party leader Cleopas Malala drummed support for the party, saying that it is the new vehicle to unite the nation.
“When you want to kill a dog, you give it a bad name. They tainted Gachagua in a bad image saying that he is tribal, but he united mount Kenya region and he is the right person to unite this country through this national party” said Malala.
Further, he called on the church to pray for the country as the Genz demonstration anniversary is expected on 25th June.
“Let the church pray for the nation. We don’t want more killings of our children. The government should protect the demonstrators as it is a right enshrined in our constitution” he urged the church.

Former Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi hit out at President Ruto over what he termed as betrayal of the mount Kenya region.
He said that he will mobilize Meru voters against his second term bid.
Speaking at AIPCA Rwarera church, Linturi said that the Kenya Kwanza government has not honored its promises to the region.
“It is a shame to see our MPs kneeling down to a leadership that has not delivered any development” he noted.
