Kenyan music stars Khaligraph Jones and Vijana Barubaru will headline the official afterparties of the HSBC SVNS 2 Nairobi tournament at Nyayo Stadium, organisers have announced.

The two-day entertainment programme, powered by Tusker following its KSh 40 million sponsorship, is part of efforts to enhance the fan experience and support the growth of rugby sevens in Kenya.

On Saturday, February 14, Khaligraph Jones will take to the stage, backed by DJs Tophaz, Daffy, Deewiz and Confy. MC Gogo and rugby MC Azuu will host the night.

The award-winning rapper is expected to perform a mix of his classic and recent tracks, offering fans a high-energy close to the opening day of matches.

Sunday’s afterparty on February 15 will be headlined by music duo Vijana Barubaru, comprising rapper Mwana and vocalist Tuku Kantu.

The pair are known for their Afro-pop sound and storytelling style. DJs Grauchi, Daqchild, Sir M and Confy will provide music support, with MC Hype Ballo on the microphone.

The tournament has already made history, with tickets for both days selling out in advance.

Organisers expect more than 11,000 fans daily, marking one of the largest attendances for a rugby sevens event in the country. No tickets will be sold at the gate.

The HSBC SVNS 2 Nairobi leg will feature six teams in each division. In the men’s competition, Kenya will face USA, Uruguay, Germany, Canada and Belgium.

The women’s teams include Kenya, Brazil, China, Spain, South Africa and Argentina.
After Nairobi, the series will move to Montevideo, Uruguay on March 21–22, before concluding in São Paulo, Brazil on March 28–29.

The top four teams from SVNS 2 will qualify for the SVNS World Championship, where they will compete against leading Division 1 teams for promotion ahead of the 2027 season.
