The Kenya National Soccer team yesterday cruised to an easy win after hammering struggling Lesotho 4-0.
The two sides already faced each other on Wednesday, sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
However, on Sunday, the Harambee Stars lived up to their favorite tag, opening the scoring in the eighth minute through Mohammed Bajaber who plies his trade for Simba Football Club in Tanzania.
Bajaber completed his brace in the 52nd minute, and just a minute later ORBIT College’s Sekhoane Moerane got sent off for violent conduct.
The Harambee Stars made a host of changes in the 68th minute, and his side added two more goals in the final 10 minutes of the match.
Lawrence Ouma scored in the 84th and 88th to complete the scoreline, as Kenya are now three games unbeaten.
South Africa coach Benni McCarthy has been in charge of 18 games with Kenya, winning seven, losing seven and drawing the other four.
They will face Bafana Bafana in the qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, where they are co-hosts alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
Kenya will hope the win will help them get a winning mentality.
Kenya is building a squad of home based players jelled with professionals maily from Europe as they seek to make a mark in the 2027 Afcon tournament.
McCarthy last month raised England in search for footballers from Kenya and where he managed to convince Micah Obiero and his brother Zack Obiero.
