Ivory Coast Coach Emes Faé has blamed his team 2-1 loss to Germany to lack of ‘Fair Play’.
He pointed out at Germany Defender Nathaniel Brown as the main culprit.
Speaking to reporters after the game (via ESPN), Faé said he was disappointed with the German left-back.
“I told him (Brown) to stay humble. He had a great game. He doesn’t need to talk badly to us because he is losing or at 1-1. and only wants to win,” Faé said.
He continued:
“We would have liked more fair play from Germany. We would have liked them to give us the ball back when Singo got injured. They are a great football nation and we take example from them. I was disappointed by their lack of fair play.”

Faé’s team went 1-0 up in the first half but ultimately ended up empty-handed after a hard-fought game.
“Both teams deserved to win and had the chances to win the game. Well done to Germany. They won the game because of their experience. We had a great game, and I am really proud of how my players play against one of the favourites of the competition. We have to use this defeat for the rest of the tournament,” he said.
Germany looked more dangerous and had two goals disallowed in the first half.
Germany first scored through a corner in the 20th minute.
Bayern Munich’s midfielder Aleksander Pavlovic went in for a header forcing Ivory Coast goalkeeper Yahia Fofana to punch the ball into his own net.
The goal was later ruled out for an infringement.
In the 29th minute, Germany got a corner and Arsenal’s Talisman Kai Havertz scored after a clear pass.
The goal was ruled out after a foul was committed in the build up.
Frankie Kessie then put the elephants in front a minute after a perfect shot from Amad Dialo’s. The shot was blocked by Germany defender Finding Kessie who responded with a right low powerful shot.
The two teams went for the half time break with the Elephants leading.

Germany came back in the 68th minute through substitute Deniz Undav who was brought in the 59th minute to replace Leroy Sane.
Undav, a forward who plies his trade for VFB Stuttgart then nailed the last nail in the coffin in the 90+4 minute to make him get a brace and a score of 2-1.
Germany now leads the group E with 6 points followed by Ivory Coast with 3 while Equador who drew 0-0 with Curacao have only one point.
In another match, Tunisia chances to advance diminished after they lost 4-0 to Japan, while Netherlands embarrassed Sweden with a 5-1 defeat.
