This is astute and meticulous leadership by His Excellency Governor Mutuma M’Ethingia.
I fully support the constructive engagement with Meru leaders including His Excellency the Governor, Meru County’s Super Senator Hon. Kathuri Murungi, Tigania West MP Dr John Mutunga and the County Assembly leadership led by Speaker Hon. Ayub Bundi as they deliberated on impactful development initiatives for our county, in collaboration with the National Government.
This picture is indeed worth a dollar, a Governor, a Senator, an MP, and MCAs standing together.
It reflects true unity of purpose, and indeed, devolution must work.
Where there is unity, God’s presence is assured.
Let us now channel this unity into service for our people while demanding more from the National Government.
Meru deserves an additional Cabinet Secretary position for Hon. Kathuri Murungi, a pillar of unity, progress, and the UDA principal in Meru County.
If a dog is important during the hunt, it must also be important during the feast.
Time rewards a prepared mind.
This is our time to deliver tangible and transformative projects.
Our people are expectant.
We must prioritize the dualing of Meru roads because even a single event like the recent National Music Festival paralyses transport due to congestion.
We must envision Meru as a future city with a modern super road network.
Today, we still struggle with colonial-era roads, yet we gave this Government over 400,000 votes.
It is time we tasted the National Cake.
Where is our Mau Mau Road?
With this unity, no door is too heavy to knock.
Meru needs:
Universal Health Care.
Modern trading markets & clean environment.
Power and street lighting.
Employment opportunities.
Quality education and specialised courses like Law, Medicine, Engineering, and technical training in our institutions, universities, and KMTC.
It’s time to take off. It’s time, my people.
