Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has praised South Imenti Member of Parliament Dr. Shadrack Mwiti, describing him as a leader who “talks and delivers.”
Kindiki cited the MP close engagement with the national government to secure development projects for his constituents.
“Hon. Dr. Shadrack Mwiti is a leader who talks and delivers. He is committed, focused and consistently engages the national government to ensure his people benefit from development,” Kindiki said.
The Deputy President added that the government would continue partnering with the South Imenti MP to enhance service delivery and fast-track development initiatives in the constituency.
“We will continue working closely with him to ensure projects are implemented and the people of South Imenti continue to benefit,” Kindiki said.
The remarks come amid progress on key infrastructure projects, including planned road improvements in Nkubu town and Mitunguu.
The tendering process for the works has been opened, with contractors invited to submit applications ahead of the January 6 deadline.
Residents have welcomed the developments, saying they are already seeing tangible change.
“We are now seeing real progress as the roads from Nkubu town and Mitunguu are finally being addressed. Congratulations to Hon. Dr. Mwiti for his continued commitment to improving infrastructure and transforming South Imenti.” said a resident, Daniel Muga.
Muga also praised developments in the education sector, saying learning institutions were benefiting from improved facilities.
“We are witnessing tremendous development across South Imenti, especially in education. Schools now have better learning environments, and outdated infrastructure is being replaced with modern systems,” he said.
In a message to residents of Nkuene, Mitunguu, Abogeta East, Abogeta West, Igoji East and Igoji West wards, Dr. Mwiti thanked constituents for their support and reaffirmed his commitment to service.
“I sincerely thank you for your continued trust, support and cooperation,” Mwiti said. “Let us continue building South Imenti together for the betterment of our future generations. I remain your servant leader, dedicated to service and progress.”
The road and education projects are part of broader efforts to improve infrastructure, enhance access to services and spur socio-economic growth across South Imenti Constituency.
