A cross section of women from Meru have unanimously endorsed Interior CS Kithure Kindiki as the Mount Kenya spokesman and kingpin.
The hundreds of women who came from all corners of Meru County and converged at Kinoru stadium in Meru town said they decided to endorse CS Kindiki due to his outstanding performance, honesty, integrity and unwavering support to President Ruto.
They are now calling on their women counterparts from Mt. Kenya West to support the move by endorsing CS Kindiki because he is the best option for the community.
They also urged the Muslim community in the county and countrywide to support their endeavour noting Kindiki is development minded and none confrontational.
They vowed to continue supporting the CS until he becomes the president after the term of President Ruto comes to an end in 2032.
The move comes barely a few days after CS Kindiki was endorsed as Mount Kenya Spokesman by Mount Kenya MPs,MCAs, Njuri Ncheke and several opinion leaders.
The women said Kindiki was slated to be President Ruto running mate after he won the support of majority leaders and Kenyans noting it is only morally right to give him back want he deserves.
They said when the cabinet was recently dissolved majority of Kenyans wanted him reappointed back to his docket because he is an exceptional performer.
Nominated MCA Fridah Naitore said CS Kindiki performance as a cabinet secretary and as former senator are exemplary.
“We have unanimously decided to endorse Kindiki as the Mount Kenya spokesman and kingpin owing to his outstanding performance.
His quest to ascend to a higher political seat is unstoppable. We urge all mount Kenya and all Kenyans and especially women to support him. He is the best option for the community,” said Naitore.
Amina Mukiri who hails from Mjini,North Imenti constituency called on all Muslims in Mount Kenya and the entire country to support the CS.
Jerusha Makena from Igembe South constituency said Kindiki is their new born son who they treasure and will guard jealously.
“We will carry him using lesos to ensure he does not fall off politically. Those who are undermining him let them know as Meru community we are solidly behind him,” Makena said.
The scramble for Mount Kenya has already began as leaders align themselves for 2027 politics.
The fall out between President William Ruto and his Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua seems to amplify CS Kindiki chances as he prepares his war chest and battalion to cover ground.
On Sunday Gachagua took President William Ruto head on and asked him to stop his alleged impeachment.
The women also called on leaders to support Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza and give her time to fulfill her promises instead of always plotting to impeach her.
