Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Geoffrey Ruku has called for the split of the Mount Kenya region politically in order to enable the Mount Kenya East to chart their way forward.
He told those opposing the Kenya Kwanza government to brace themselves for a humiliating defeat come the next general elections.

Speaking at Kawiru chief’s camp in Igembe Central constituency in Meru County, the CS said the pride the opposition team is exhibiting will come to a humiliating end once President William Ruto and DP Kithure Kindiki are reelected in the next general election.
He regretted that despite the Mount Kenya West getting the lions share in the government national cake allocation after the 2002 general election they are still opposing current administration.
CS Ruku maintened that the mountain will split and Mount Kenya East will inevitably chart their way forward.
“Many war veteran during the MAU MAU struggle for independence hailed from Mount Kenya East. Many development projects like affordable housing and senior government appointments were given to people from the West,” said CS Ruku.

He questioned why the Mount Kenya West are now united in opposing DP Kindiki who is posed to ascend to the Presidency in 2032 after the expiry of President Ruto term.
“Hatutaki kukuliwa kwa mfuko kama njugu karanga. We are not fools anymore. We will not let you continue enjoying development godies as we suffer. We no longer don’t care for how long the people from the West will stay in the opposition or who they plan to elect in 2027 general election,” said the CS.
CS Ruku said the entire government of Ruto was planned by leaders from the mountain with them being the main beneficiaries.
“We can’t continue to be misled by incompetent Gachagua. Moving forward we will not follow where there is no benefit.
He was unable to perform when in leadership,” said the CS.
