The newly sworn-in Meru Governor Rev. Isaac Mutuma has promised the County Executive Members that there will be a smooth transition when their time to exit comes.
He assured the outgoing Kawira Mwangaza’s cabinet that nobody will be victimized during the transition noting that they will be treated with digital as per the law.
The Governor held a meeting with the County Executive Members,Chief officers and Chief executive officers of different SAGAS (Semi Autonomous Government Agencies) on his first day in office.
The meeting which was meant to review and discuss different departmental reviews also provided an opportunity to ensure that all the departments are aligned with the current state of affairs in the County.
“My first assignment is to bring the people of Meru together, work on the unity of the entire community,heal the wounds that have been inflicted in the line of duty,” governor said.
He regretted that many staff members had faced very tough and toxic working environment assuring them that they are making efforts to see the issue is resolved within the shortest time possible.
Mutuma M’Ethingia encouraged Meru residents to make sure they’re registered with the Social Health Authority (SHA) especially owing to the rising cases of cancer in the county.
