A notice of motion has been tabled at the Meru County Assembly to impeach governor Kawira Mwangaza.
The impeachment motion will be the third to be tabled in the Assembly against the governor since she assumed office 20 months ago.
Nominated MCA Zipporah Kinya who moved the motion listed two grounds.
The MCAs accuse Mwangaza of abuse of office saying the county public service appointments have been abused while service delivery has been a nightmare.
Ms Kinya also accused the county chief of misappropriation of funds since she assumed office and called on the EACC to investigate her.
Speaking to the media after tabling the motion, the deputy majority leader said she had just highlighted very few issues against the governor.
She said she had been sent by women from the entire Meru county to table the impeachment motion against the governor on their behalf.

The MCA also asked Mwangaza to immediately resign to pave way for a new governor who will deliver services satisfactorily to the people.
“A thief is a thief and should be arrested. There is no limit to the number of times one can be arrested as long as you are caught stealing,” she said, and called on EACC and other relevant organs to launch immediate investigations over her conduct noting if she had been investigated earlier she would be behind bars.
Kinya dismissed her counter threat to dissolve the county assembly saying they are ready for a by election anytime if that is the only solution.
“If it is the solution to get better services let it be. We are not scared by her counter threat to dissolve the assembly. We don’t fear threats and intimidation. All we want is services. The governor and MCA’s can’t make the county to suffer for five years. We will not allow misuse of funds for the next three years,” said the deputy majority leader.
Nominated MCA Mwenda Kiriinya said they had done enough homework for the last six months preparing the impeachment motion noting the evidence is fool proof and overwhelming.
He said they took the action after the Senate accused them of not having enough evidence during the last impeachment motion.
“We have fool proof and overwhelming evidence after six months of preparations. The accusations directly link the governor to wrong doing. We have more than 10 instances to prove that she was involved,” said Kiriinya.
Abogeta West MCA DMK Kiogora said public participation will be done on Monday and urged residents to attend in large numbers and give their views.
He said the motion will be debated and voted on Thursday before being forwarded to the Senate if it garners 46 votes.
