North Imenti MP Rahim Dawood has called on the government to fast track functionalism of gazetted Imenti East constituency as well as locations and sub locations.

Dawood called on Deputy President Kithure Kindiki who spearheaded the establishment of the administrative units to ensure the deployment of Deputy County Commissioner, chiefs and assistant chiefs.

He said the delay is affecting effective service delivery.

Speaking at the constituency NGC-DF offices while presenting tens of 10, 000 litre tanks to schools, the MP said he would lead protests if the units are not operationalized.

“I urge the government to make Imenti East subcounty functional. I will also be following up even for operationalization of locations and sub locations to get chiefs and assistant chiefs,” Dawood said.

The MP further urged his constituents to take advantage of the ongoing filling of bursary forms to benefit their school going children.

The MP has so far issued more than 900 tanks to institutions in his constituency.
