Meru Deputy Governor Lindah Gakii Kiome has officially began her tenure after she reported to office today following her swearing-in last month.
In one of her post on facebook account she stated,
“It is a moment filled with gratitude, reflection, and renewed purpose as I step fully into the responsibility entrusted to me by the people of our great county”.
The deputy governor who appeared in photos taken in her office together with a section of the clergy, said that she had to dedicate her leadership through God’s guidance.

“To mark this milestone, a moment of dedication was held, seeking God’s guidance and affirming the values that will guide my leadership: integrity, humility, accountability, and a deep commitment to public service. This symbolic beginning reminds me that leadership is not about position, but about purpose and people” further read the post.
Through the post that was also shared on the official Meru county government 012 page, Ms Kiome expressed commitment to serve the people of Meru and also pledged to support governor Mutuma M’Ethingia in service delivery.
“As I take on this role, I do so with a clear vision and a sincere heart to help Governor Mutuma deliver to the people of Meru. I am committed to leading with purpose, listening with empathy, and working tirelessly to uplift our communities and drive meaningful progress”, concluded the post.
Ms Kiome was appointed by Governor Mutuma to deputise him, after he took office from the impeached governor Kawira Mwangaza.
