Meru deputy governor Mutuma M’Ethingia has made his first public appearance after his alleged fall out with Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza.

Last month allegations emerged that the official car for the deputy governor was withdrawn and his trip to the USA was cancelled after an alleged fallout with his boss.

Meru governor earlier this week also dismissed claims that there is a falling out between her and Deputy Governor Mutuma M’Ethingia.

Mutuma who appeared in public for the first time since the allegations said that there are no differences between him and the county boss.

” Mwangaza is at the helm of the leadership and I am her deputy. I will support her so that Meru can develop,” he said.

On Miraa matters, the deputy governor  faulted Nacada for listing Miraa as a drug.

“Miraa is a cash crop in five constituencies in Meru. Were it not for Miraa we would not be contributing as much revenue to the national government,” he said.

He urged legislators to lobby to delist Miraa as a drug.
