
Highlands Group of Schools is set to open a second campus in Meru town just two years after opening its doors in the county headquarters.
The prestigious private day and boarding school set up the Meru Campus in January 2023.
The school director Isaiah Mbaabu said they had received overwhelming support from parents in Meru hence the need to expand its services in Meru County.
“Within the 22 months we have been operational in Meru town, we have received a lot of support from parents. We are building another campus at Kinoru area which will host grade one to grade nine pupils. The Milimani campus will serve pre primary classes,” Mr Mbaabu said.
Speaking during a graduation ceremony at the school, he said the management is keen on offering quality education through out the primary and junior secondary education.

Mr Mbaabu urged parents to take advantage of the long holiday to nurture their children in line with the aspirations of the Competency Based Curriculum.
“Parents should spend the two months with their children. They should take time to give them lifestyles that they may not get in school,” he said.
Mr Mbaabu, who is also the Kenya Primary Schools Association (KPSA), called on the government to support private schools in the roll out of junior secondary school.
“We need more training for lab technicians and teachers. The government can also support in supply of equipment and materials for Junior Secondary,” he said.
Highlands Group of Schools was established in 2003 at Timau and has a branch in Runyenjes and Meru town.
