Renowned business man and politician Mwenda Thuranira has pleaded with well wishes, fellow business people and politicians to mind about the less fortunate in the society.

Thuranira, who spoke at Hope Children’s Home in Isiolo said he felt indebted seeing vulnerable children going through several challenges.

Thuranira, who is MySpace Properties CEO, has already declared hevwill vie for Isiolo North parliamentary seat, which he narrowly lost in the 2022 general elections.

“We are giving not because we have more than others. We do it out of compassion and to be a good example in caring and solving some of the problems the less fortunate go through.”

There are people with lots of money out there. I urge them this festive season to bring a smile to the vulnerable people’s faces,” Thuranira said.

Hope Child Centre director Pauline Kinyua said she is currently taking care of 139 less privileged children at the facility.

Pauline said the children are faced by many challenges including lack of fees and infrastructure.

One of the children could not graduate last year after deferring his studies due to lack of University fees.

“Bringing up a child is a shared responsibility. We appeal for assistance to smoothly run the centre in catering for these children,” she said.

Former Bula Pesa MCA urged Isiolo residents to show love by sharing the little they have with those who do not have.

“I  deeply love sharing but Thuranira has expressed true leadership and a heart that values helping his community.

He lost in the last elections but I am confident this time round he will be our MP. We are here to share Christmas and not politicking,” he said.
